Once you have found “the one”;
It is easy to tell why others were not The One, isn’t it?
Maybe they were aggressive, demanding, unreliable, and maybe they were not ambitious enough or boring.
What you first noticed was how you would be able to handle it on certain days, but not on others.
Depending on how much energy you had to deal with them, but also depending on how deep the other person was exercising their right to this, what you considered, “flaw”.
The one thing you were putting up with, that was becoming a bigger stain as time moved on.
Once you met The One, you realized you liked everything about them:
The good and the so called bad.
You could make jokes on moments like that, it would bring you two closer together, and you couldn’t imagine ever growing tired of being or living with this person.
That is how yoga should feel, and nothing less!
You should be excited to get on your mat.
And if not;
Meet new yoga styles, teachers, take private classes asking help from a teacher to set up your personal yoga practice you can fall in love with.
And although I don’t think any of us will spend time on the mat, the way couples spend them in bed in their honeymoon period;
Yes!
There should be a honeymoon period, where all you can think about is your next session and you’re excited that you two click, and have found each other against all odds.
And once you have this, then you will understand what the length is of an ideal yoga session:
The time you would take for The One, once you’ve made it to the bedroom.
Which is 30 minutes for a quickie, but otherwise I think 1 to 2 hours, including lying together in each other’s arms, before you end it.
In yoga this is called “Savasana”, a long relaxation that typically lasts between 10 and 15 minutes.
So although a week of not leaving the bedroom may not happen, there definitely should be a honeymoon period, where yoga is the most fascinating wonderful thing.
Where you and yoga have created a bubble, a sanctuary, that you can’t wait to visit every day.
And if that doesn’t happen?
It’s not The One.

ABOUT THIS SERIES
In 2021 I started this blog https://dailybonjoviyoga.com/2021/03/19/welcome-to-daily-bon-jovi-yoga/ with the intention of doing yoga everyday to a Bon Jovi album, or Bon Jovi music. (this list of deep cuts and cover songs is my guilty pleasure!) In January 2024, after three years of creating several setups and systems to do “Bon Jovi yoga” or “Rock Star Yoga”; After creating two playlists on my YouTube with all Bon Jovi concert recordings between 1983 and 1996, and keeping them updated to the best of my ability (which is not great!); And after writing over 50 reviews and stories inspired by those concerts, ALL on THIS blog? I thought maybe, just maybe, it was a good idea, to start doing exactly what I said this blog would be about; Doing yoga to Bon Jovi music every day. And write about it. Interested in Bon Jovi? Definitely subscribe to my other blog! Rock Star WriterThat was it!
